WSC recently completed a project to develop logic and HMI translators for the turbine systems of Luminant Generation Company's Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, making their simulator a fully emulated solution. In order to emulate all aspects of the turbine controls and HMI, WSC developed a separate translator for each of the four independent programs comprising Comanche Peak's turbine controls. The four translator programs included Siemens SPPA-T3000 HMI, TXP turbine control logic, SIMADYN control logic, and AG95F control logic. WSC then integrated each of these emulated programs with each other and Comanche Peak's existing 3KEYMASTER process models. The fully emulated simulator completed acceptance testing in June of 2020 and its performance conformed with the previous virtual simulation and operator expectations.
